Stonegate Farm Therapeutic and Recreational Horse Riding

Welcome! Stonegate Farm is delighted to offer therapeutic riding opportunities for children and adults with physical or cognitive disabilities. Our gentle horses and caring volunteers offer a safe, inclusive and fun environment for riders of all ability levels. The many benefits of therapeutic riding include improved muscle strength, joint mobility, balance and co-ordination, an enhanced ability to focus, persevere and interact with others. An increase in confidence and self-esteem usually follows.

It’s been quite a ride – from boarding out one horse to managing a therapeutic riding program that offers 160 sessions to special-needs kids and adults every year on our own 50-acre farm. Along the way we’ve collected horses, clients, volunteers, friends, and many, many stories.
